Electing domain name - is it in another location?

So, usually when one purchases a domain name, let’s say for a new website, the servers are most times located in an entirely different city, maybe even a continent.

As an official record in public, what will be written is the time of the registration in the place where the servers were located, basically.

So, what do you all think about this?

Most likely, the chart then will be of the other place, not the one you’re in from where you register?

I would say - the server is there for sure. But the domain name - that we create - would have the energy of the place we are currently located in. For example - created Instagram handle on this and this day. So that’s when I conceived the Insta of mine.
Is what I think. So, I’ll go with the place we book the preferred URL and domain name and all that
